Overview
The CATVolt FlexConvert 28 is an automatic buck/boost DC-DC converter module: feed it anything from 3.5 to 28 V and it holds an adjustable output between 1.25 and 26 V at up to 1 A — stepping down or up as needed, switching between the two seamlessly as the input drifts.
That auto-ranging is the point. A battery-fed 12 V rail sags as the cells discharge; a fixed buck converter drops out, but the FlexConvert rides through, boosting when the input falls below the setpoint. It suits battery-powered field equipment, prototypes and any small load that must not brown out.

Setup Notes
Set the output with a multimeter before connecting the load, observe polarity, and keep the draw within 1 A. Give the module airflow when running near its limit.
